Logo and custom typeface for a record label, music production company and recording studio
Daan Herweg
Key Element is a record label, music production company and recording studio founded (and built) by jazz pianist and composer Daan Herweg. Being asked to design a clean and simple logo to unify his broad range of services, the essence – or key element – his grand piano, formed the inspiration for the logo. In addition a set of small capitals was designed to set the wordmark and accompanying text. Logo and small caps are combined in one font, providing ease of use across various environments.
